Just finished the PBS series last night. Very enjoyable. I know it's a gimmick, but I love the character names. Smallweed. Crooke. Skinpol. Honoria. Flight. Guppy.

Anyway, thought the Esther character was played very well. Didn't feel _too_ much sympathy for Lady Dedlock. Would have liked to no more about the Jardyce, Barbary, Boynethorne (?) relationship.

The camera work was a bit nauseating at times, lots of half-obscured shots which seemed over dramatic. I guess that's what TV looks like nowadays.

Can I get a suggestion for a Dickens novel to read? I can't seem to remember ever reading one...
