Is it proper to use 'fagan' as a verb? (ex. 'Dude, I was totally faganing Phillip Glass at the Berklee party.')

I think the use of a fagan as a verb should be linked to "Dropping the", or "Drop a...".

That's the High English. Maybe 'Fagan' as a verb is the common.

As a big fan of noun-verb fluidity, I had to vote yes for fagan as a verb. However, I agree with Rory that "dropping a fagan" is preferable. Due to its greater elegance and more pleasing sound, I think that "to drop a fagan" will likely continue to be the standard usage, even if it is high-falutin'.
