Went to a Spirit game last summer (or maybe two summers ago). Third base coach was a bloated Rich Gedman. George Scott used to manage them back when they were the Mad Dogs, and you weren't allowed to sit behind the plate due to chunks of concrete falling from the depression-era "roof".

Great place to see a game!

Tgl, you might not be allowed to ride your bike there, though. East Lynners gotta watch out over there. Ain't no tellin when one of us Highlanders is down for a jack move.

The Spirit moved in two years, the new owner spent a couple beans on the roof. Supposedly it is safe. (The roof, don't know about the neighborhood).

I walked the dog around the block on the other side of Eastern Ave from our house. The furthest corner of the walk around the block passes the <a href="http://www.marshmallowfluff.com/htm/history_frame.shtml">Durkee-Mower</a> facility on Brookline St.


I will not rest until I can get Fluff fresh from the tap.
