The day after yesterday

Well "The Day After" scared me in 1983. I had nightmares for 18 months. "The Day After Tomorrow" is in some ways more frightening. Dennis Quaid's first poor showing in years and Jake Gillenhall's first bad movie includes the ubiquitous mystical homeless black guy and lines like, "I'm warming you with my body heat." Brrr, scary.... I still have to give it a thumbs up. The Tanker cruising up 5th Ave, the shots of Earth from the space station, and the best Dick Cheney impersonation to date. (B-)
