At least Foulke hasn't given up back-to-back walk off home runs.
What the hell does "walk off" mean anyway? You walk off the field for a home run hit in the 8th inning, don't you?
It's not like your teamates are _fielding_ at the moment. The opponent do walk off in the bottom of the ninth if the home team hits a game winning home run.
What about walk off singles? A walk off base on balls?

The "walk off" term was coined by Mr. Dennis Eckersley in the early 80's. A "walk-off" is a hit where both teams walk off the field after the hit because the game is over. So it's always the home team in or after the 9th inning, when the home teams gains the lead.
I believe Eckersley also coined the terms "slider" and "junk."

I've been preaching for years that if a pitcher blows the save he should be ineligible for the win. If a pitcher blows the save it is upon his shoulders to rearn the win for the prior pitcher. This is not Foulke's first blown save win, not even this year, I don't think.

Some of us don't even like the save statistic in general...

A few things:
-You can totally hit walk-off singles. Think Ortiz in Game 5 of the ALCS last year.
-So, 10D, in your model, does the win automatically revert back to the last pitcher of record prior to the blown save? I'm down.
-Saves are pretty stupid. Gossage was pitching like 2.2 innings for his, whereas closers just come in for the ninth nowadays.
-Eckersley is totally the man.
