Boner Records

I'm at home, waiting for the Cambridge building inspector to approve my new office for use. Listening to Steel Pole Bath Tub, record came out in 1990 on Boner Records out of Berkeley CA. Are there less indie record labels now then 10 years ago? Just wondering.

It seems to me that with duplication costs pretty low, and recording costs equally as low, it would make sense there are more indies now. Case in point, take a look see at the next week of pitchfork reviews and I'll probably bet good money that there will be at least a minimum of 15 different labels represented (out of a possible 25). Hell, the non-existent Local 33 1/3 Label got, count 'em, two different reviews on pitchfork. That, my friends, is 100% of our roster! -B
