Not Krakow, but Potsdam. I'm not sure if the "final warning" was issued on July 17th.
150,000 dead from nukes in two cities; 100,000 from firebombing in Tokyo.
Hirohito takes 6 days after Nagasaki to surrender. Looks like we might have rushed to use the bomb again to demonstrate to the U.S.S.R. who was the top dog.
