The Warmers

Thought we should start a thread (which probably Mike F and I will be the only two people who care) about The Warmers. Wanted:More picks up where the s/t left off. "Red Light Runner" is my current fave, a simple one riff tune stopping at about 1:30 and leaving you wanting MORE MORE MORE Amy Farina for President Larry David for VP Rock!

I'm going to pick it up before work today.

Yep. And season 4 of 'The Simpsons,' too.

any more opinions Mike?

I'm always good for a few opinions: -I can't wait to not wait tables full time. -If I were Joe Torre, I'd be shitting myself right now. -If I were Maddie Nigs, I'd be shitting myself right now. -I was expecting the El-P album to be hip hop, not like jazz. -The Warmers are pretty ill. -I don't get not liking the Strokes but liking Franz Ferdinand. -If you ever mail me a package of all my dtuff again, Rich, I'll cut your face (fact, not opinion.)

Strokes have absolutely no jazz influences, and while good, they are simple. I have not heard the whole Franz F. album, but it seems they are trying to do more, while taking themselves less seriously....

you'll cut my face for mailing your own stuff (is this what you meant by dtuff) back to you? why? I felt bad having it for so long, and I thought you'd like to get some mail.... Also, we're gonna have a fight if you don't like the High water (Mark) El-P cd. That Thirsty Ear stuff is amazing (mat Shipp Dj Spooky, Anti Pop Consortium, William Parker et. al) Although the Def Jux stuff is amaxing too. Fantastic Damage absolutely slays in 5 channel stereo. More Poopy Dipes, here I come....

Working my way through all the CD's. And, of course, the four new Jandek Cd's I have. My web page has details regarding the 'Shadow of Leaves' 'scandal.' I thought the El-P CD was going to be hip hop, not jazz. Yow! Nice to have the first season of 'the office' back, Rich, thanks.
