Warning! Extreme Geek Content Below...
dooku = Darth Tyranus
Palpatine = Darth sidious
Palpatine's Sith Master= Darth Plageous (sp???)
Going Back to Attack of the Clones, these were the things I had trouble figuring out.
Obi Wan goes to Kamino to check out the clones that someone in the Jedi council ordered (at least so says the Kaminoians or whatever the fuck they're called) The Kaminos call this Jedi Master Sifo Dyas (I got the spelling from the English subtitles on the DVD).
Obi Wan requests to meet the source of these clones, Jango Fett. He asks Fett who paid him to make clones and he respons something to the extent of a man named Tyranus on the moons of Bogdan.
The Jedi Sifo Dyas is a huge argument amongst SW dorks. I think Dooku/Tyranus knew Sifo Dyas had been killed and used Dyas's name as an alias when he gave the order to the Kaminos to make clones... I ve heard all other types of theories for this though..
The theory Ive been hearing kicking around is this:
Our good friend Palpy learns from Plageous how to have some degree of control / manipulation over life via the Force's life units Midichlorians. Palpy, after getting the goods, kills Plageous.
Palpy then somehow messes w/ some midichlorians and sends them on Shmi Skywalker's way therefore explaining the "immaculate conception" thread in the Phantom Menace.
If you have control over life, why stop at cherrypicking yr apprentice? Why not not create him yrself?
