Upon careful reconsideration, I withdraw my previous report that "Hail to the Thief" is their best work and instead reinstate my vote to "Kid A." "HTTF" is a stunner, but probably 2 or 3 songs too long, and it's really just an application of all the lessons learned from the "Kid A"/"Amnesiac" sessions. "Kid A," to my ears, is a band that is confident and unafraid to fail. And despite the fact that they're hiding behind computers, ondes martenots and other whiz-bang gizmos, all the songs still sound like Radiohead, which is what's the most impressive thing about it. That and "Motion Picture Soundtrack" makes me cry. No lie. Like a newborn baby.

I did pick up "Com Lag," actually. It's okay, nothing special, but okay. Another quality thing about Radiohead is that they know what songs to edit out (though we coulda used a little snip here and there with "Hail").
