John, for his scream during 'Revolution.' Proto-grindcore.

George. Youngest, brashest, and didn't give a fuck...

Dawn Bixtler, I love you. Yeah - what he said, dammit!
John was a Libra, he was too conciliatory to be punk. Libras make crap punks.
Paul was the establishment. Not a contender.
Ringo was punk only in the same way Sid was, and I always thought Johnny was more punk. So you've gotta go with George. He really didn't give a fuck what anyone else thought, and questioned pretty much every rule set in front of him.
Plus George's wife beat the shit out of the home intrider who had intended to kill him. That is so punk.

Hmm, there needs to be an astrologickal guide to punkitude.

Stuart Sutcliffe. Did you guys see 'Backbeat'? Its punk as fuck to quit the beatles, f- a french girl and pursue "art" instead....

I have "the Woods" on repeated paly right now. The album is great. I cant personally get past track 2 "Wilderness" right now. Did anyone see Corrin Tucker in Jane? I LOVE this band. Probably right now Im as into them as when I first started listening to 'Dig Me Out' w/ BQ on our way to see the Wu tang Clan @ great woods... (ODB was incarcerated or drugged out and unable to be there...)

I'm waiting for my delivery from http://www.insound.com.
(Plus Aphex Twin "SAW 85-92" and Plastikman "Tab 1" that I've been meaning to get for like, a decade)

Libras make crap punks!!!!
What!?!
Everyone knows George was the quiet one and I will never forgive him for the atrocity that is, "I've Got My Mind Set On You".
He was also in the fucking Travelling Wiburys.
I like him as a Beatle, but punk he is not.

Excellent, my fiendish little plan worked!

"The Woods" is solid. Nothing special, but really really solid.

I think the Travelling Wilburys were fuckin' awesome.

First, that's "Traveling Wilburys" (one l) to you, bub. I liked them, best supergroup ever. Better than Shellac. Paul eats tofu with Steve Albini, making him the most punk. OK, I made that up.
Reminds me of a joke:
What is a one L LAMA?

A holy man from Tibet.
What is a two L LLAMA?

A member of the camel family from South America.
What is a three L LLLAMA?

Anyone? Do we all know this one?
Posted by Rory_Stark on 2005-06-13 13:51:24 +0000
Ok so let me get this straight.
Traveling Wiburies=punk...?!??!!

Three L LLLAMA?
Sometimes I sit and reminisce about all the jokes I've forgotten the punchline to.

Really? I would have thought you'd remember this... I was going to caveat this with "Anyone but tgl"
Posted by tgl on 2005-06-13 15:14:23 +0000
I completely remember the setup, it's the rest that's giving me problems.
