Hiking
Trav, D, PChippy and I climbed the second highest mountain in England today, but the winner was the drive Wrynost and Hard Knott passes--
.
"Quite the Most notorious of the steep mountain passes, challenging the skill and nerve of car drivers is Hard Knott pass. Motorists should approach it with the utmost concentration, this is not a place for learners"
--Waignwright "On the Mountain Passes" (look up the rest of the citation your damn selves)
.
Trav had to stop on the way down the second pass-- his brakes started to stink and smoke. However, it being a one-lane road with cliffs on each side and a Mini rally going the other way, he drove like a champ.
