G.W. is president for a variety of reasons, none being Nader's candidacy in 2000.

Sure he has every right to run but this shit makes him look bad.
Fuck it though. We wouldn't be bitchin' if it were Ross Perot.

I will allow that it seems a bit egotistical. Although, plenty of people run quadrennially (sp?) for President, LaRouche comes to mind.
Nader's issues _are_ still valid. Right now, the Democratic front-runner is the Senator that's accepted the most contributions from lobbyists. Ken Lay still hasn't been charged for his felonious management of Enron. Corporations are paying nearly 50% less tax on profits since 1990. Yadda yadda.

I have voted for the man twice. Running now, though, seems like a case of horribly bad timing. People have made the association between his candidacy and, like, Florida.

Well, he's not going to pull that many Democratic votes. Roughly one fourth of his votes in 2000 came from Republicans, one half from Democrats and the rest from independents. So, maybe he'd draw votes away from Bush this time...

We can be reasonably sure that last election's Dems are pissed and won't vote for him.
