Rafael Palmeiro

It's high time for me to admit that ol' Raffy is going to be a Hall of Famer. This, of course, after years of reluctance on my part due to the fact that he has never gotten a ring, has one all-star start in 19 years, and has never finished higher than fifth in MVP voting. (Three gold gloves in there, though, from 1997-9.) The numbers do it for me. Only Aaron, Mays, Murray, Musial, winfield, Yaz and Ripken have ever hit 400 HR and gotten 3000 hits. The list dwindles to the first three when the home run number goes to 500. Crazy. Fred McGriff is an entirely different story.

McGriff was nicknamed the Crime Dog after McGruff. Two points!

A certain ex-boyfriend of BeckyBunny's once told her that McGruff's motto really spoke to him, and he lived his life according to those principles. . He wasn't joking. ________________ --Feminazi
