Just picked up New RZA + MF Doom / AESOP Rock + Del the Funky split 12". RZA beat on the A-side totally lacking.

"But on Saturday morning, when temples throb and lungs wheeze, I'm trying to sprinkle sugar on my corn flakes-- not cocaine."
That's quite a review.

Some of my favorite lines on the record right now are:
1. MF Doom: "ZZT- felt No Pain-
His Brain Was Saturated
With Cocaine and Rogaine"
2.MF Doom:"the Other Other White Meat"
(I have no idea what this means, it just makes me chortle)
3. Master Shake: "I thought you were smarter than that"
4. CARL: "give me something BADASSS like REO Speedwagon"
this is a good one folks....
MF Doom artist of the year for 2005? Yeah, I said it...

Yep. "Biochemical Equation" is the a-side. The aa-side is Aesop Rock And Del with "Preservation" which I think I like better.
OK, a few things:
1) Remember RZA was not and never will be a great MC. Please, before you say anything, I love the guy to pieces. How could one not? He made: the 1st Wu album, Genius's "Liquid swords", the 1st album Russell Tyrone Jones dropped "Return to the 36 chambers", and more records than are worth listing. But it's my understanding he put together the beats and samples, being more of a "Project Director", and yet, he isn't that good as a lyricist. He has rhythym, but it can be rudely un-melodic. I know rap uses less notes and key than most vocal music, but he has that "you can't hum it" feel. I like some of his lyrics on "Liquid Swords, but that's about it. I don't know where I going with this... I'm dis-ing RZA... so stupid.
2) I really like this Sean Price kid that's on this album. Funny here, but his solo project "Monkey Barz!!!" is phenominal, includng good album art.
3) Wow! I hadn't heard the "Give It Up" track yet. (Thanks for the link rladew!) Wow, again! Is that R.A. or Rugged Man? Someone on this tune is not all fuckin' there. I love it.
4) How awesome is the logo, with the "Think Differently" Wu symbol/Apple computer rainbow blend?
5) Questions: Do we know what MF Doom did on this? Did Dangermouse produce any of it? Is their an alias I'm not picking up on?
