yet another excursion proposal
Who's up for a midnight moonlight equinoctial Presidential bushwhack?
Saturday night, September 17th, weather conditions permitting.
Leave Boston c.4PM. Arrive Pinkham Notch c.7PM. Ascend Mt. Washington the hard way, via the trailless ravine of Raymond's Cataract. Reach summit c.3AM. Return to Pinkham via Tuckerman Ravine, arriving at cars c.6AM. Back in Boston c.9AM Sunday.
You know you want to.
The moon will be full.
And I betcha the folks would have some coffee for us.
Someone who shall remain nameless has suggested that while the excursion sounds appealing, it would be still more appealing if it were simply an old-fashioned moonlight hike on a trail, not a bushwhack. What, if anything, do others of you think about that?
Myself, I'm up for the full-scale twig-in-the-eye adventure. But I'm willing to listen to reason.
