Trade deadline rumors
<a href ="http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/21508"> A.J. Burnett's </a> name is being mentioned a lot, him for Bronson.
Texas is shopping <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6154"> Soriano. </a> Can you imagine?
He'd be perfect here.
I'm in the minority here, but I can't stand Belhorne, Example:
Men at 3rd and 2nd, one out. You want contact, not a strike out and probably not a bunt (unless Damon is on 3rd). Just put the ball i9n play and drive a run home. Belhorne will strike out, the worst that could happen. Everyone else on the Red Sox will make contact, but Belhorne.
Soriano at 2nd would be amazing...
I agree that Soriano would amazing, who wouldn't want the next Hank Aaron on their team?
Rumors abound regarding Jack McKeon getting canned to light a fire under the Marlins' ass. Lowell has been slack and Becket's hurt again, though.
"Bottom 9TH B:0 S:1 O:0
Bill Mueller singles on a soft fly ball to right fielder Gary Sheffield. Trot Nixon to 3rd. Jason Varitek to 2nd.
Bottom 9TH B:2 S:2 O:2
Alex Cora grounds into double play, third baseman Alex Rodriguez to catcher Jorge Posada to first baseman Tino Martinez. Trot Nixon out at home. Jason Varitek to 3rd. Bill Mueller to 2nd."
1st base was not open. Cora's job is to get under the ball, strike out or pop up. Hell even a foul ball will score a run if it's deep enough...
* Wake pitched a decent complete game yesterday. He's not going anywhere.
* Sox hitting was flummoxed by Leiter, that's all. It might as well have been a rookie that no one had seen pitch. Leiter gets his clock cleaned next time around.
* They should ship Embree. (Although, he does throw a lot of strikes).
> Wakedawg will be here until he is 50
> Fucking Leiter
> Embree should go, but who will take him?
