the problem with dunkin' donuts

I order an iced coffee black, I get milk and sugar. I order an iced coffee no milk no suger, I get milk and sugar. Really, the best bet is to stay close to home:
Brand Distance Size Cost Quality (0-5)
Dunkin' Donuts - Iced Coffee 4 minutes Med. (16 oz.?) $2.10 0
Dunkin' Donuts - Turbo Ice 4 minutes Med. (16 oz.?) $2.98 2
Starbucks - Iced Coffee 5 minutes Grande (12 oz.?) $2.50 5
Second Street Cafe - Iced Coffee 3 minutes one size (18 oz.) $2.05 4

Cheap coffee best masks itself by being hot. Dunkin serves searingly hot coffee so they can get away with the sub Chock Full o Nuts crap that they serve. Old coffee (like this morning's coffee that I'm having lukewarm after burning it all day) can only get by if it had an exceptional start. (Equal Exchange Organic Guatemalan French Roast... Boom) The colder you drink your coffee, the better it has to be. Iced coffee is best as Americano with a great espresso. 1369. Diesel. Seattle. I need to travel to the big city (Acton) to get one from here.

I might need to drop my Starbucks iced coffee rating, Seattle's Best has an incredible iced coffee. Toddy brewed or something. Unfortunately, the Kendall Sq. Seattle's Best is now Starbucks. That location is over 20 minutes away, anyway. 1369 is too far away to walk for a coffee as well. Damn You! Galleria Mall!

Another good bet is to make it at home. This takes planning.

Do this:

1) Make an extra strong pot (press, whatever) of delicious coffee 2) Freeze it in an ICT (you should see the paper I wrote for Sr Tech Comm with detailed instructions for ICT use) 3) Before you head out for the Mass Transit of your choice, make a pot (press) of delicious coffee and add a couple of coffee ice cubes. 4) Note how your coffee actually gets stronger as the cubes melt. mmmm.

I was SO on top of making good coffee at home: -filtered water -bean grinder -Green Mountain Breakfast Blend or Southern Pecan (not usually into flavored but this S. Pecan stuff RULES) and then it was Parenthood :) Now, Im getting better at making coffee one handed at home while I carry Maddie, but the tractor beams of D. D.'s Drive In (especially after Im sleep deprived) prove to be too great a temptation (even though the serving hot observation above is usually correct). Im such a corporate whore. _______________________________

D.D.'s Drive In doesn't sound too corporate. You're should be OK, rladew.

Damn you! Galleria Mall! I might have found satisfaction: at the mall is a Borders bookstore with a Borders Cafe. Ahh, Seattle's Best.
Borders 6 minutes Med. (16 oz.) $1.50 less 15% with mug 5
I'm pretty sure all my sizes are off.
