My 2nd Favorite Roald Dahl story...

...is going to be a movie!

Live action? Animation? Claymation?...

Fingers crossed-

I'm waiting for the BFG. Although, another Wes Anderson movie is always welcome.

It will take you an hour to read... go to the library and don't leave until it's done. You won't regret it.

BTW, what is everyone's favorite Roald Dahl?

The Fantastic Mr Fox may be mine, but Danny, the Champion of the World and James and the Giant Peach are close contenders...

James & the Giant Peach
The Witches

ooh, I forgot about The Witches... that's another great one.

Actually, get <a href="http://wmars.cwmars.org/search/aDahl%2C+Roald./adahl+roald/1%2C1%2C302%2CB/frameset&FF=adahl+roald&121%2C%2C302">this</a>. The BFG isn't a waste of time, though.

I'll give it up for James and the Giant Peach as my favorite.

Gonna have to go with Fantastic Mr. Fox for favorite, but I've never read any of his non kids stuff.

"Boy" is pretty intense. It's his bio of his childhood. You definitely get a feel for why all the adults in his stories are so horrible. He had it rough as a kid.

I love his stuff, but I have at least one friend who won't read him because of the whole anti-Semitism thing.

Also, his wife, Patricia Neal has been known to shop in my mom's store. She lives in Knoxville, or did.

By the way The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is by far my favorite of his stories.
