Sex Machine by James Brown

I was listening to the album referenced in the title today. Holy Motha. One serious funky track after another. All recorded in or by 1970. Rawk

get on up...

check out the JB's (if you haven't already)

Fred Wesley, James Brown et. al rock it out... (and you might just do a double take when you hear the source for all those old school hip hop P.E./NWA/etc. samples)

There is a KILLER anthology called "Funky Good Time"

Including such gems as "Pass the Peas", "Damn Right I am Somebody", "You Can Have Watergate Just Gimme Some Bucks and I'll Be Straight", "Grunt, Pts. 1 & 2" and (my personal favorite from a Title standpoint)"I'm Payin' Taxes, What Am I Buyin"

James Brown really knows how to drive home political commentary. Between wicked funky grooves, he makes me want to get an education and stay off drugs. I had no idea taxes were also on his agenda.
