Jonathon Pryce / Terry Gilliam Film Festival

The Brothers Grimm is not Gilliam's best work. But it's a smart, fun, entertaining movie. I agree with the Globe's Ty Burr that the CGI effects where a bit distracting in parts. I disagree that the gingerbread scene was a special moment in the film.

Some real nice visual fagens and a great script made this a good Friday night out. Even if we we're at the Lowes in Danvers.

I was reading the Dig review yesterday while wading in Walden Pond, and I think it got like 1 1/2 stars, but the reviewer seemed to like the movie.(Does the Dig do movie ratings like restaurant ratings, where 1 star is "good"?)

I might have to go to rottentomatoes to get a better sense of the review scene on Grimm.
