Yesterday's purchases
While I really went to go to Newbury Comics for the "Remington Steele" Complete 1st season DVD's, I also picked up the new Sleater Kinney, <a href="http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/s/sleater-kinney/woods.shtml">"The Woods."</a>

Totally rockin' me right now. I'm in a complete female rock mode. Last 4 CD's I've listened to: Sleater Kinney, White Stripes, Jem (love her tribute to Bill Hicks) and Barbaro.
As in, "Woah oh oh - JEM! Truly outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous! Woah oh oh oh, Jem! JEM! Truly outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous..."

Lara listened to it and did not like it. She's more of a "Hot Rock" grrrl, anyway.

rladew: thanks for the Cave In bootleg. I can rest easy knowing that "Dazed and Confused" is nearby. Me, my tool belt, and Cave In make for an excellent Sunday.
My initial assesment: Both more aggro and melodic (often in the same song) RCA made a big mistake in dropping these guys. I still think they have a potential to be HUGE. great band.
I think the legit album streets Sep 13 or so... Ill definitely be going on a shrewsbury Newbury trek that day.
