New supposition: whet if the Sox AND Yankees both make the playoffs again? We need Cleveland to start tankin' it. (Though at this point I'm not sure which is more daunting: The Sox making the playoffs, or NOT making the playoffs.)

Sox pitching = shattered.
Foulke is back in surgery, not that he's been helpful at all. 2005 is his lost year.
Clemens, Pettite had a 4.00 ERA in 2000. Wakefield, Arroyo (!) are 4.13 right now.

Some of the shit that Foulke has talked is of the variety that can't be taken back.
They can still pull it together, and maybe if they do, they'll ride a wave into the playoffs. I've still got the fingers crossed.
