Bob Pollard on Baseball

Found this gem in the latest Magnet magazine (wherelse?). It's excerpted from Jim Greer's new book: "Guided By Voices: A Brief History: Twenty-One Years of Hunting Accidents in the Forests of Rock and Roll." FWIW: Greer at one point was the GbV bass player for some 2 years, and Bob was the pitching ace for both his high school and college teams: "It's fucking nine-man stand-around! I think they ought to get rid of baseball. It's fucking boring. To me it's just been around too long, it's become obsolete. I wouldn't be hurt if they didn't have it any more."

at least in standaround you have a better chance of keeping yr anterior cruciate ligment (ACL) intact. Ouch. _______________________________
