Seen and Heard
Saw this in an email from an old coworker to all of my old coworkers:
Hello friends,
I have an idea about our expanding group of folks working out of an office that is not expanding. We all (including me) do a fair amount of shouting from cubicle to cubicle to share information, particularly about phone calls that come in. Last week I experimented with making a conscious effort to get up and walk to the person I needed to talk to and talking in a normal voice. It was not as much of a pain as I expected, and I'd like to think that the little bit of quiet created by this was helpful. Anybody else interested in giving this a try? donene, previously known as DONENE!
