Your 2005 World Series:

Tough, but I'm for Houston. I know that the sporting thing would be for me to play the 1917 card and root for Chicago, but instead, I'm pulling for Biggio and Bagwell, both of whom have had long, amazing careers without ever playing in the Series (arguable Hall of Famers both, for the record). That and the fact that Chicago can't possibly keep pitching this well (can they?) Houston in 7.

Not only can't Chicago keep pitching the way they have, They've had too long of a break, and lost their momentum. Does Biggio have the longest current tenure on any team? The first win since 1917 the year after a different team had it's first since 1918 loses it's charm... first win ever, on the other hand, is still excellent. Houston in 5.

Houston: Clemens is a chump. Bagwell isn't playing. Pro sports in Texas suck. They were the Colt 45's. Then they became the Astros when the played in the Astrodome. Then they moved to Enron Field. They should now be called the Minute Maids. Chicago: Buehrle is not a chump Frank Thomas isn't playing. Pro sports in Illinios rule. They've had "Sox" in their name for over a hundred years. The Red Sox were the 2nd best team in the Majors this year. White Sox in 6.
