WS - Game 3
Bottom of 7th now, White lead 5-4, and Garland just threw 6 straight change-ups... amazing.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 03:03:45 +0000
Um, that's "White Sox lead 5-4".
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 03:03:52 +0000
Oswalt was lookin' good until he gave up five runs in one inning. Sheesh.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 03:05:21 +0000
A 47 pitch 5th inning, I believe.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 03:46:15 +0000
Decent game into the 9th...
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 03:51:11 +0000
Fingers crossed for the big bottom nine.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 03:56:36 +0000
Uh oh.
Joe Buck just said: "In case you're wondering, there have never been back to back World Series games ending with a walk off home run."
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 04:02:05 +0000
Tie game, bottom of the 9th, one out, man on 3rd and 1st, and Barbara Bush is the only one NOT standing in Houston...
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 04:05:57 +0000
Tie game, bottom of the 9th, 2 out, bases loaded, will Barbara Bush get off her ass?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 04:08:55 +0000
Fuckin' Duque.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 04:39:38 +0000
Tough call. Lead man on for the white sox in the 11th.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 05:08:19 +0000
12th, now. Goddamn.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:19:06 +0000
Babs Bush has left the game. White Sox will now win in the 13th...
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 05:29:56 +0000
These games only happen when I have shit to do afterwards, I swear.
Whaddaya say, Biggio?
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:32:29 +0000
Biggio pulled!
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:35:14 +0000
Nope, not pulled.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:44:02 +0000
into the 14th, argh...
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 05:46:41 +0000
I just want my life back (and an Astros win). Is that so wrong?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 05:49:14 +0000
Blum?
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:50:14 +0000
McCarver will now only say things that have happened such as:
"Great play" to the double play the Astros just turned, or,
"Good pitch" to a strike, or,
"Down and in" to a the down and in pitch Blum just hit out of the park.
Keep in mind that Joe Buck is the play by play guy...
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 05:59:11 +0000
In the past 15 minutes McCarver has only said "Ozzie Gullien and the White Sox have played mistake free baseball," even though the White Sox have 2 errors on the night.
Can we get a reliver in for McCarver?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 06:00:06 +0000
Man, another run walked in. Yikes.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:01:17 +0000
Astacio might get lynched.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:02:38 +0000
It is being reported a mbl.com that that was Blum's first World Series at bat...
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:05:00 +0000
McCarver did not say a single word when Rodriguez pitched.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:09:20 +0000
McCarver has not said a word in 15 minutes again. Joe Buck might punch him.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:11:06 +0000
Nope, he can't punch him, McCarver went home.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 06:12:25 +0000
Uribe fucked it up.
Here comes Buehrle.
Fingers = crossed.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:15:28 +0000
7-5, ballgame.
White Sox lead 3-0.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 06:18:42 +0000
Later today- Backe vs. (Who Is Freddy)Garcia. Gulp.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:21:26 +0000
Needless to say, McCarver did not earn his paycheck, that last hour and twenty minutes.
Let's all hope Joe Buck gets his hands on some uncut Columbian in the next 14 hours.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 06:22:19 +0000
Get Pamsterdam Joe Buck's number circa:pronto!
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 06:23:22 +0000
McCarver = No comments during the postgame show.
Was he even in the booth?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 07:24:26 +0000
Two words: ether binge.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 14:49:51 +0000
Just for giggles, can anyone come up with their greatest commentator break down of all time? And by "break down" I don't mean Brent Boone crying after his brother hit homer off of Wakedawg in '03 Game 7; I mean similar to McCarver last night.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 16:49:28 +0000
I used to love it when Johnny Most would flip the fuck out. Don't know if that counts.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-26 16:51:40 +0000
"Ralph Sampson is a gutless bully, who picks on the little guy!"
Classic.
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-26 17:39:28 +0000
Remember the time he set himself on fire? Oh, man.
Posted by rladew on 2005-10-26 18:04:22 +0000
here's an idea:
Once a year, regardless of score, the MLB should have a "20 inning" game to test the endurance, fortitude, and patience of the teams and fans involved.
Baseball fans would have a new set of statistics to haggle over, we could have a feed via computer to keep up w/ the score at work...
ad revenues would be sky high...
they ONLY went through 17 pitchers last night? Poosays!
