He suggested dinner and a movie, if that helps.

Okay, if you put "other," you HAVE to tell me what I should wear instead.

Alright, at the risk of being the only person who's taking this seriously...
I have been told by various reliable sources (OK, British Cosmo, followed by corroboration from my husband) that men always prefer to see women in skirts or dresses as opposed to trousers or jeans. This may not apply to gender-neutral metro-sexual pun-krock alien-sexfarm type men who may or may not frequent the Rideside. I'm just telling you what I've been told. I say go with a skirt that makes your ass look like the gift from God that it is, and make sure you have some smelling salts in your purse in case he faints from the sudden head-rush.
x!

Is there anyone of the male persuasion on this board who could be considered metrosexual?
Posted by pamsterdam on 2005-10-29 07:32:57 +0000
Ahem.
I was thinking of tgl & Dawn, actually... don't they wear aftershave? :-)
Posted by rladew on 2005-10-30 15:12:56 +0000
we all know how Pam voted.

Aftershave = metro? Oh, dear me.
Posted by dawnbixtler on 2005-10-30 17:34:47 +0000
May I suggest, dark sunglasses and a German shepard, or a red & white cane? Totally blinding!

After 15+ years chasing punk boys, I can't be held responsible for any misinterpretations of "Metrosexuality". I'm assuming the term refers to men who pay more than $10 for a haircut, wear aftershave, and clean under their nails. I'm also assuming that men like that exist. Somewhere.

Upper East-side Manhattan. Probably.

I have heard db speak knowledgeably about Khiels products, if that's worth anything.

I wore black pants, a teal short-sleeved t with a pink v-neck sweater. Black and pink wing-tip Fluevogs w/knee-hi pink striped socks. On the wrist was a feminine, but flashy blue and green beaded bracelet; on the neck was the glorious, green crystal farwell necklace.
The fella wore a faded maroon t-shirt and jeans with white sneakers. I was not impressed. We saw "Good night, and good luck," which I highly recommend, followed by dinner at a great bistro by the theater. We both like similar TV (Veronica Mars, Buffy), but I don't think he's for me. At least it was a try.
Next week I'm going to a huge Iranian family Shabbat dinner where there will be two (2) guys named Alex they're trying to set me up with...one overtly, the other covertly. Could get interesting.

the phrase "chained to my desk" sounded a little bit suspect ;)

I'm not quite as screwed up as that character...although I am a character.
Posted by pamsterdam on 2005-11-03 17:28:56 +0000
That is such a hot movie.
Characters, what characters? ;-)
Posted by Miriam on 2005-11-03 17:34:41 +0000
I think it's an incredible love story. Just goes to show there's someone for everyone.
