Maddie = a Medeival Princess
Jackie = a deviled egg (all white clothes, yellow plate taped to her midsection, red horns and red tail)
Me = Darth Vader (not very original, but whatever)

I'm going as rladew's duplicate post. ;)
I completely struck out on custome ideas this year. I got a great idea for next year at lunch, hope I can remember it.

Who was it who dressed as a highway (all black with double yellow lines of tape down his middle) at that Winter Street party in Dover, 1996? Was that tgl? Or frame?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-10-31 22:03:57 +0000
That wasn't me- probably TGL. I think I was static cling at that one. Mark, I remember, was spoop, and Uncle Jay (whom I will be dining with tonight) was Red and Black.

Were you at that party in '96, TGL? You weren't a cop, and you weren't safe. Or was it '97?
Posted by tgl on 2005-11-01 01:18:34 +0000
I went to a Dover St. party in the fall of '96, don't remember if it was Halloween though. (I did attend on New Year's Eve during which the "Ian MacKaye Game" was created, personalities were introduced, and hilarity was evident).
My custome was "Safe" for the '98 Halloween party on Aldie St. (Followed by the '98 Black Lung Week). Let's all take a moment to remember Mike Ushinski as "Lord of the Dance", at least naked to the waist wearing tight pants.

Shit yeah. "Ian MacKaye" was New Year's Eve 96/7, after which we drove home in the snow listening to Kraftwerk. Aldie woulda been '99, with Malbert being '98, I think.

Ahhh, spoop.
How was Uncle?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-11-01 09:00:13 +0000
I love Jay- we had dinner in the South End and it was like days had passed rather than 6 months. That guy rules.
(I am listening to Elton John right now, btw.)

That's right, '98 in I had a "T" inspector shirt. Not quite a cop.
I continue to believe the late night Kraftwerk ride was not New Years.
Posted by tgl on 2005-11-01 15:37:31 +0000
Whoa! Did I just miss a Monday Nite at the Wads with Uncle J?
Posted by frame609 on 2005-11-01 18:34:28 +0000
Nope- we grabbed some dinner before he flew out at 9:30. We were over at Ed's last night.
Perhaps there were more than one Kraftwerk rides. I remember 'Metropolis' on the way home from Dover.

This year-- "Heather", A mormon proselytizer from the Brighton Center pod of them (loosly based on Dooce, I have to admit)
I'm going to have to think about previous years! For some reason, I always end up wasted on Halloween, this year was no exception.
I'm so disappointed I missed Uncle! Next time, gimme a call.

Thank you mama, for making me gold pants...

(I looooove 70's Elton. 80's Elton can sit on it.)

It might not hurt to send a little love Bernie Taupin's way either.
He was to Elton what Hal David was to Burt Bacharach.
"He's the coolest lyricist, while they're like 'what kind of beer' is this?"

HA HA HA!
Oh, I thought Elton wrote the words. He's the Music Man? I can see that... a bit Danny Kaye-esque.

My costume was my flannel pjs, while sitting on my couch watching tv and trying to recuperate from the weekend with 115 teenagers in Alpine, AL.
