Like Doug Mirabelli... I'm Gone

What I know about 'belli:
* soaks his hands in urine
* bats gloveless
* catches Wake-Dawg
* hits for power against the Yankees
* is a bit of tactless bore

We'll miss you. <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=citadel-2_476010_254&prov=citadel&type=story">Very</a>.

Millar is out, too.

<a href="http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/12/08/red_sox_work_on_renteria_deal?mode=PF">Soriano to Washington</a>! He could been a contender (with the Red Sox), maybe he still will.

Rent is gone, but <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2252297">not for Lugo</a>

Are we eating any of Rent's contract? It doesn't look like it.

No more Billy Ballgame?
No more Youkilis?

A little salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce should help it go down a little easier...

Jesus. They traded Renteria for a <i> third base prospect </i>. We're not finished yet, obviously, as we have no real first baseman or shortstop. Or catcher for Wake. Or bullpen (though Mota helps a lot).

I like Loretta for a year- dude is solid.

Mueller, Damon and Graffanino all got offered aribtration yesterday- if any of them don't sign, the Sox get draft picks.

Here's <a href ="http://www.athomeplate.com/spotlightamarte.shtml"> Marte </a>.

Dumping Renteria was a good start, dumping Manny will help, but <a href="http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/12/09/tejada_asks_out_are_stars_aligning/">signing Tejaa</a> will win me back.

There's always some reason they need to 'win you back.'

I am a prize to be won.

I like it. The atricle mentions Youkilis at first, which makes sense. He's probably on the one bag regardless of where Ramirez ends up.

Hell freezes over!
<a href="http://www.nypost.com/sports/yankees/58605.htm">Nomar to the Bronx?!?!?!</a>

Giambi as DH? Hmmmm.....

Posted by tendiamonds on 2005-12-14 21:04:59 +0000
If they get Nomar to play first then they should try to get Omar Vizquel to play second, then they can have the top 4 shortstops in the AL from 4 years ago as their infield.
