2006 will be the year of...

J Robbins! while we're on the subject of it taking you a while to craft 13 songs and turn it into product, I thought Id share my excitement for the Channels full length...

Is J Robbins the guy from Burning Airlines? I was SO addicted to them for a while. Maybe I should put that on tonight.

Yes! J. robbins = Gov't Issue, Jawbox, Burning airlines etc. It will be an inherently rewarding experience. Maybe I should do the same.

J. Robbins: "Mission: Control" was mostly stunning, though some of the stuff in the middle lost a little focus. "Identikit" meandered a bit, and "Open", the first Channels record, continued down the same road. I've always been a fan of the pop-with-an-edge stuff that J. Robbins is so good at. Hopefully the new record will be a return to form.
