I really thought this was a dawnbixtlerism for the longest time. Just caught it's use by <a href="http://www.andrewsullivan.com/index.php?dish_inc=archives/2005_12_11_dish_archive.html#113466481307142722">MFGR</a>.

I realized it came from Drudge about two weeks ago.

Drudge has the tools to warp one's mind.

I have the tendency to end all of my posts with three periods which is definitely obnoxious...

...I think email and other electronic messaging makes it easy to over use the ellipses...
