What's Manny's deal?

Seriously, dude. Come on.

The most telling part of the whole deal is in his quote: "especially David Ortiz." Indeed.

Caught some WEEI on the walk to work this morning. They were speculating that his wife is pressuring him to move. Allusions were made to possible marital distress caused by Manny being in Boston. It was pointed out that she'll have the same husband whether he plays in Baltimore or New York or whereever. Finally, if Manny is just trying to please his wife (heh...) then a failure of the front office to trade him might not affect his moral on the field. --- If the legions of people that participate in the discussion of sports on radio and other forums would instead channel their energies into solving real-world problems, we'd be living on Mars, enjoying the 15hr. work week, making use of nuclear fusion, perfected the at-home espresso machine (oops, got that already) and cured AIDS. It's really remarkable how much thought and consideration and passion are --dare I say it-- wasted on sporting discussions. I'm including myself in this group.

Guilty. I used to listen to NPR nonstop, and I got really depressed, so now I listen to sports radio instead and get angry about stupid things. I'm happier now.

mmmm. all too true. My drug of choice is music (who saw that coming?) but baseball interest is growing ever larger... Maybe TGL et. al can put a baseball podcast up on endofradio.com ...

I still cannot stomach any talk radio other than NPR. Everyone else seems so bland...

Just a gentle nudge to get content volunteers for endofradio.com. Spent the weekend studying podcasts (squadcast.com), Adam Curry's (yes, THAT Adam Curry) Daily Source Code, I tunes, etc. Right now Im alternating between using Audacity and cool edit Pro. CEP Is my preference just because its what I used @ WUNH and has more functionality than the stripped down Audacity (dont get me wrong though - Audacity is great and can get the job done...) Reading up on ASCAP / BMI web licenses w/ the conclusion that our podcasts will be rogue for a while, but by seguing / voicing over from one song to the next, you can decrease the likelihood of having sit-downs w/ the RIAA b/c you're making it impossible for Piraters to break yr mp3s into clean distributable files... In the process of sending an interview request over to atavistic.com to see about a Vandermark interview before or after the Hyde park show... So anyhoo, peeps, think about a Boston sports podcast. all Im sayin.

It's actually a trail of marshmallow-y fluff a la 'ghostbusters' or the Gene Wilder 'Willy Wonka' mmmmmm fluffy joy! I just had a thought: where are this guy's friends (or any guy / gal photographed puking for that matter)They would rather hold a camera and prepare for immortalizing them for humiliation than getting them into a comfortable sidelying position and seeing that they are ok... oh well...
