so sad

I didn't actually make it to m*a*s*h, since I ended up finishing off the bottle of wine I was cooking with, and I finally accepted the fact that I'll have grandkids before Jamila rolls in for her "original ca. 1969" led zep experience (and you know what Beavis wood say). Sadly, I, II, and IV are all scratched to shit--overall these are the records in the absolute worse shape of two feet worth that I've listened to so far. In through the out door is the only one that I've found that's listenable (I am inordinately fond of in throught the outdoor, so fuck all y'all who think it's inherently unlistenable). Moral of my story: If you come across clean copies of any Zep records other than ITTOD, please, please pick them up for me ('cause it was that good on vinyl, even all scratched up and shit).

I was throwing down some Chuck Shaw earlier. NOTE TO SELF: Next Q, don't be hesitant to open the $2 Chuck when everyone is present.

I have Zep IV altho I'd never sell it because it has "Stairway to Heaven"; on the other hand it would take an act of God to get me to play "Stairway to Heaven" ...for someone whose teens was in the 70's Top 3 "Played Out" Song of All Time. I'd recommend a trip to Mystery Train Records in Gloucester, most likely place to find all of them.

I listened to "stairway" last nightas part of the vinyl experience, but I must admit, the last time I listened to it intentionally was when I drove by myself from Santa Fe to Burlington, VT and listened to every album (from the 10 disk box set) in order. The next thing I knew, I was in Oklahoma.

I remember quite enjoying "In Through the Out Door." "Fool in the Rain" especially.

I think I have Presence on vinyl? Supposedly their worst album ever. It does have Achilles last Stand!

I went to "Oklahoma" listening to Led Zep, too.

Is this a suggestion to clean our black crack with some "solution"? Chortle.
