SNL Natalie Portman hip-hop

No 'Chronicles of Narnia', but still pretty funny.

Interesting analysis from the Village Voice here. NBC gits in a tiff w/ 'You Tube'...

I thought it was pretty funny if only for the fact that it's the last thing I expected to see Natalie Portman doing. It could be any famous seemingly happy person in the same role (Mickey Rooney, "Blossom") and be equally as funny. I think the VV is missing the point - it's not the rap itself in this case, it's more the context of it.

I enjoyed it too, but found it derivative of the Narnia spot. Me and DB were talking about how this SNL season will definitely best be remembered by what Samberg has brought to the table. the rest of the V. Voice thing interested me because of You Tube's exploding popularity and how this is re-igniting intellectual property debates.
