Republican, fall on thy sword!

Too bad Tom DeLay can't <a href="http://today.reuters.com/investing/financeArticle.aspx?type=bondsNews&storyID=2006-04-04T133948Z_01_N04176301_RTRIDST_0_POLITICS-DELAY-QUIT-UPDATE-1.XML">resign </a> his grand jury indictment.

How honorable of him to step down, so a Republican can take the seat, and he can avoid a "nasty" campaign. Well, things tend to get nasty when you break laws, and run the most corrupt political machine since Boss Tweed, and everyone knows it. Oh btw, I don't think the GOP will be holding on to that House seat. Texas is the reason.

Everyone's favorite progressive Republican <a href="http://bullmooseblogger.blogspot.com/2006/04/demise-of-delayicans.html">weighs in.</a>

I owe you guys an apology. I initially believed that Delay would prove the claims baseless - this kinda points to the contrary.

Coolio.
I think Delay still claims the indictment is baseless.
I honestly think the fall of Delay coupled with some reworking of the 527s might help us get some of the corrupt $$ out of Washington DC.
Maybe. There's at least a chance.

Great quip I'm stealing from NPR's Marketplace's Kai (sp?) Risdoll (sp?): "How long before DeLay becomes a lobbyist?
