How 'bout that Red Sox pitching staff? Francona speaks volumes with the call to Papelbon over Foulke, I say. Let the talk radio holocaust begin!

I try to keep my baseball gushing to a minimum, but man, that was just amazing. Manny with the assist, Timlin getting out of the jam, and Papelbon! The first few Beckett innings weren't that impressive, truth be told, but after about four he looked great. I am tremendously encouraged.

Foulke is a Red Sox for +/- 28 more days. Hey, he was on the 2004 team, but how long does he have? Oh, and can we cut Beckett some slack for his first outs as a Red Sox pitcher. Damn, man, it's April 5th...
