are wicked sick. The show was at the Agganis Arena in BU. The riffs were really solid. The vocals were pretty scruffy but altogether didn't make the poppy guitar rock sound too lame. let's go pop!

I still remember the first time I heard "Last Night". It was on the first floor of 26 Warwick St. in 'oo(?) I asked, "Who is this?" and Paul Lang said, "The band that's going to save Rock n Roll." I have no complaints with the album "Is This It", and I'm glad I own it, but I don't have any urges to go out and but the new stuff.
Live, I'm sure they put on a fun show, and then drink with the crowd into oblivion afterwards...

I was asleep on the futon at 26 Warwick St. Saturday, Oct. 3rd, 1998.
My first meal at 376 Prospect St was a slice or two from Aram's II, Sept. 30, 1999.

Brilliant band. A classic pop rock act with clean guitars that have wonderful seperation. I get a kick out of the teenage poetry in Casablancas' lyrics, but the vocals themselves are disappointing especially on the second full-length Room on Fire. I saw them play along side the Rolling Stones, and I agree with "mr. mister" that even live the singing style did not move me. Let's hope their best efforts are in the future.

I definetely liked "Is this it" I have not thought about the band in years. They really just rocked the house. Defintely a trancelike experience for a lot of the people in the crowd. It could have been those drinks at t's pub, but I was into it.

All of the later Warwick st. kids were at the Rumble finals to see Scamper, but got there too late to get tickets.
Lots of worlds and scenes collided at Warwick street-- too many to explain!
cosmic.

I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking, "Hmmm...popular music getting interesting again...weird..." It's the only album by them I've heard. In passing I've heard snippets of the followups, but they don't really have the same impact for me. They brought some punkiness back to the mainstream, and I thank them tons for that.

The FS Sq sign has not made the move to my new house. I will have to sneak it it...

One of the graduate fellows at my KSG job lived upstairs at 26 Warwick during one or two of the party years. I always felt weird about seeing her after finding out about that. She was a quiet type.

If being uncool puts me in the same group as Pamsterdam, I have no incentive to ever try to gain another scene point :)

Here, there, and everywhere, it's hip (hip) so hip to be square. ;)
