I am mildly ashamed to admit that I have allowed my boiling rage-filled hatred of My Hero and the absolutely unbearable Thermoman to (possibly permanently) prejudice me against anything even vaguely associated with Ardal O’Hanlon. You're the second person I respect who's recommended the programme. Please tell me that O'Hanlon's character in My Hero has absolutely nothing in common with the role he plays in Father Ted. Ooooh, I hate him. Just look at his smug face! Bastard! Bastard!

I've never seen My Hero, but I concur that Father Ted is the SHITE. Funniest comedy show I've ever seen. On Father Ted he plays Father Dougal McGuire, a well-meaning but really, really stupid priest whose lack of common sense results in much hilarity.
