Porter Goss <a href ="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12646394/>"resigned" today from the CIA. That's shocking (seriously). Can't wait for the news analysis.
I love the fact that Bush claims to not have lost confidence in Goss! What? Goss's been playing in the sty with criminals, and he still has confidence in him? You can't make this stuff up.

I'm not shocked. Don't you remember him saying in "Farenheit 9/11" that he wasn't interested in or capable of running something like the CIA? Am I just imagining that?

Is anyone minding the store? Must be one of those mysteries.
Conspiracy theory number 2,346,634,677: The profound failure of all of Bush's civilian appointees (Rumsfeld, Goss, Brown, Chertoff) leads to the appointment of military officals throughout the administration. Don't get too excited about voting in 2008 just yet...

So Goss gets forced out as head of the CIA, and a week later the CIA executive director, Dusty Foggo, gets his house and home searched by the FBI.
Something really stinks...

"Foggo's associates have said he received the Intelligence Commendation Medal for supporting the war on terror in 2002."
Does this mean he's not now eligible for a Presidential Medal of Freedom?

May-be
In all honesty though, this seems like a conspiracy against Bush & Co. It's almost like the FBI is a branch of the Dems, and the CIA is the GOP. Seriously, this might be the turf war to end all turf wars, among the FBI and CIA. Where does the Dept. of Homeland Sec. weigh in on this? It's like a free for all, with almost everyone claiming either "executive orders" or "national security". No one knows what to believe, me included...

The Foggo Raids were a joint op. Could still be some kind of turf war, though.
For those of you wondering: This is how you pronounce "Foggo."
