Here's a good ploy to whip up support amongst xenophobes, er, white, male, blue-collar workers. And yes: I did blame Bush yesterday morning as I spent four hours vacuuming water out of my basement. --- Maybe I should have fully checked out this 4.7.0 before installing.

If Bush sends, say, 7,000 National Guard troops to the border to serve as administrative and logistical support, each Border Patrol trooper would have 20 administrators at his/her disposal.

Bush's speech this evening does nothing to dissuade me that this deployment is purely political. Partisan Dick sounding very robust on the rebuttal. Aside from the fact that Ramesh Ponnuru is the laughable selection for well-adjusted conservatibe on the Lehrer breakdown (as seen on Channel 11, what up 'GBH?) he did make a salient point: Afer 5 years, this is now an urgent problem?
