Nice to see the GOP leadership coming to the defense of a Democratic representative. I'm certain Hastert would defend Jefferson from FBI searches even if Hastert and four or five other GOP lawmakers were not under suspicion themseleves.

While ABC isn't retracting the story, it does seem like they got this one wrong.
