Buffalo-Edmonton is a bit more of a charming matchup, but we shouldn't keep our expectations from limiting the indigenous hockey players of North Carolina.
Were the Edmonton Oilers named before or after the Houston Oilers? Any other cross-sport nicknames in the "Big Four" (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB)?

I guess the other team in the Cup playoff (the Hurricanes) share a nickname with a certain Florida-based university, but that doesn't quite cut it.

I was hopin' for the Buffalo/Edmonton final, too.
Since I found out that the Hurricanes used to be the Hartford Whalers, I've gotten a little bit more excited.
