"Youkilis is Jewish. It's like being Irish. The same guilt. The same bad food. That's fantastic.... You hear that Mel Gibson, we've got a Jewish first baseman." Stunning.

If you haven't already, peeps should check out the 'Rescue Me' Show on FX. despite Susan Sarandon's cameos, its actually a really good show. I think most of the Gibson commentary at Fenway came courtesey of Lenny Clarke, A costar of 'Rescue Me' who was also in the booth with Leary. Awesome any way you slice it.

I'm a HUGE fan of that show.

Sarandon is bad in something? Very rare. I've like her from "Rocky Horror" on thru.

Even Lorenzo's Oil?

With Peter Ustinov, and Nick Nolte during his crusading alcoholic phase? Excellent work, though I haven't seen it a decade and don't remember Sue too well...

A friend from school was the real Lorenzo's doctor...or something.

Cloning her Bull Durham role (older woman seducing younger man) close to 20 years after BD isn't exactly my idea of a trailblazing performance. Maybe Rescue Me's producers/directors should have used cutting room footage of BD in RM a'la Bryan Singer's Superman Returns: it would have been cheaper and the performances not as rehashed. really this is just a side argument, I overall love the Rescue Me show

Sue was great in The Hunger with Dave Bowie. wow

Wow, that was good.

Couldn't we say the same thing about DeNiro, Pacino, Nicholson, Keitel, etc...? Rehashing doesn't necessarily make roles bad. DeNiro is awesome in Ronin, but he sleep walks through it. How is Sarandon bad in Rescue Me?

Last night's Rescue Me was great. The one show I watch every week. The opening montage was very well done, cinema quality. Can anybody identify the musical track that played behind it? It worked so well with the images. It sounded something like Massive Attack, but not something I know of.

Portishead.

Well, the background to the lyrics anyway.

The opening title song is "Come On, Come On" by the Von Bondies. I think it's on their album Pawn Shop Heart, but I could be wrong. "R.M" usually has a different tune every week for a montage before the closing credits, but the von Bondies is the consistent opener @ the beginning. That's a fuckin good piece of tunage IMHO.

According to someone on a RM discussion board, it was "Hell is Around The Corner" by Tricky (once a member of Massive Attack), totally agree about "Come On, Come On".
