car trouble
So, Ovlov, my 20 year old Volvo had another doctor's appointment today. It's a good thing I have AAA.
I was running a little late for work this morning, and when I went to turn on my car, it make some lame noises and refused to start. I called AAA, which came after over an hour. The guy, with about four teeth, told me that it wasn't the battery, it was the alternator. I asked him to show me where that was, and I said, "Do you think it's because of those wires not being connected?" "Yes."
He then told me where to take it to get fixed, and said not to turn it off once I got there.
Five hours and $150 later, my car was ready to go. I have to take it back tomorrow, though, to get three engine mounts replaced so that my transmission, exhaust and alternator don't dislodge. Apparently one of the mounts is cracked in half.
Good times!
