<a href="http://www.spin.com/features/news/2007/03/070302_badbrains/">Spin</a> has some more details about the impending release.
I haven't bought any Megaforce records since early Metallica / Anthrax stuff which was joint released by major labels.
We'll see if HR can behave himself better than in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_Love">last time out</a>...

Lorbering Hat trick!
(I guess that is a good indication that no one besides me gives a flying f____ but oh well, I am bored and will post anyhoo:)
<a href="http://www.badbrains.com/">Official Site</a> says April, but I am more inclined to believe May / June from other <a href="http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/bad_brains_updates_on_new_releases_current_side_projects.html?200704180444">sources</a> I have seen.
If anyone is motivated enough, this <a href="http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcoming_releases/bad_brains_debut_new_track.html">link</a> provides an mp3 track of a small snippet of one of Henry Rollins's (G lib is going to shoot me in the <b>FACE!</b>) most recent radio broadcasts from LA that features a cut from the album...

Thanks to Epoisses and the wonderful application sendspace (Bowie Immersion, anyone?) <a href="http://www.sendspace.com/file/eygdp3">here</a> is the ninth track from the Megaforce records album <i>Build a Nation</i> from the MF'ing Bad Brains called 'Universal Peace' (I left the Rollins intro / outro on for context)
Lemme know what you think.
I like the fast buzzing bass - its at least as good on one listen as anything post 1988, but I know that's not saying much. Time and a few more listens will tell.

I like the track. Not landmark, but solid.

and then Sawyer comes back to say "This is for taking The Kid Off the Raft" and fires his gun at Mr. Friendly. A+

I could be wrong, but in addition to MCA producing this, I think the 'Oscilloscope' production company has something to with the Beastie Boys a la Grand Royal or something...

New record does not suck at all.
Best since Quickness in 1988.
Reccomended if you like the Bad Brains. If you don't you may / may not like it.

Pitchfork even <a href="http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/43849-build-a-nation">almost gave it a seven</a>.
The parts about the vocal effects being kind of ponderous are spot on.
I would have hoped for a bit of less murky production, but I am happy with the new outing. Hopefully a Boston appearance will be in the works.

Adorable post, DU. Almost Hurley-esque. And I <strong>love</strong> Hurley.
