David Rees, artist and activist, Beacon, NY

David Rees started writing the comic strip "Get Your War On" in October 2001 when the United States began Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and the strip quickly became a cult favorite for those opposed to President Bush's militaristic policies. In this lecture, Rees will discuss his books and print production. A 2004 screen print from some of his earliest strips is included in DISSENT!
