Makes me want to give Mallard Fillmore another chance.

Tinsley's a drunk. Well, I've been known to be a drunk. But... no DUIs. Actually, Tinsley's not much of a moraliser, but it's still refreshing.

For the record, today's comic:

I will not abide trashing store-bought egg nog, which is the easily the most delicious thing in the dairy aisle (even better than canned whipped cream!). It's the only thing I like about the Christmas season.

This year, Johnnie's Foodmaster is carrying cinnamon-, vanilla-, and pumpkin-flavored versions. I am working on my second quart of vanilla right now. Delicious! Will move to pumpkin tonight.

We were eating at an italian place in Teele Square last night, and a guy walked by the window swigging directly out of a carton of egg nog. I was jealous.

This is the second time in as many days I've heard of this notion of "homemade" eggnog. I'm intrigued.

"I will not abide trashing store-bought egg nog"

Me either.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Did you listen to the bit on NPR this weekend about making your own? Awesome. They took half of their egg nog and, while stirring vigorously, pured in a bunch of liquid nitrogen. There was a lot of boiling and cooling and whipping, and then they had egg nog ice cream. Did you know that you could save yourself hours of churning your ice cream with a bunch of liquid nitrogen? Where do we get that stuff? Would it work with real (read: store bought) egg nog?

Yes, that's where I get all my topics for conversation.

The guest was a bit of a freak.

I must have tuned out the liquid nitro part.
