AIFC to MP3

Anyone know of any free-ware that can transfer aifc to mp3?
I just got my Mac running OSX, running Firefox, and an mp3 player all in the past week.
While my TGE MP-3000 mp3 player will store any file, it seems to only play mp3s (and WMA, I think). Tons of stuff for $20, but I'd love to transfer my CDs for free.

Not sure what an AIFC file is. Try Audacity, audacity.sourceforge.net. I'd think your iTunes should do they trick, too, it can definitely transfer from CD.

In my must humble voice:
"I run OSX 10.3.9 w/o itunes."
Shocking, but true.

...And you are waiting for what, exactly?

I don't have an ipod, let alone a digital music player with a hard drive; itunes is a great interace (like mac os x and the ipod).

Find me on github.
