My stupid band has a show on Feb. 19 at the Abbey, as part of the Darkbuster "hometown throwup" series. Our singer has told us that this will be his last performance as a Stove. We're unlikely to continue without him (at least not in the same form), so this is our LAST SHOW EVER!
We will actually be having some band practices over the next month, and we are determined to make this our best LAST SHOW EVER ever. Better than the last two LAST SHOW EVERs anyway.
I will be especially pissed at this show, because the timing of it precluded me from taking a whirlwind hockey train trip which would involve the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto St. Michaels, Montreal Canadiens, Shawinigan Cataractes, and RPI Engineers. Rock shows are okay, I guess, but they don't measure up to eating poutine while watching a junior hockey game in Quebec.
